The Sandwich Generation

The Sandwich Generation, otherwise known as Baby Boomers between the ages of 40 to 60. Many in this group face the dual challenge of looking after aging parents while at the same time caring for adult children – the latter being sons and daughters who have either not yet left home, or who have returned home in adulthood (sometimes with grandkids in tow) usually for financial reasons. Many concerns surround those whose nests are feathered with elderly parents and adult children, and we will be looking into these matters as the week progresses. At the same time, we invite you to explore this booklet, which offers information and advice about The Sandwich Generation. From what it means being a caregiver and handling Boomerang kids, to being money smart, family smart, and much more – the content here will be of interest, particularly if you are a Boomer interested in life’s bread and butter issues.
